Senior Director, After Market Business Unit
Theo is the Senior Director for DENSO Europe’s After Market & Industrial Solutions Business Unit; encompassing Aftermarket (OES + IAM), Commercial Vehicles, Industrial Products & Robotics.
Under Theo’s management the Business Unit has seen significant growth and evolution. Introducing long-term strategies and new organisational functions, localised management and decentralised activities, Theo has created a collaborative, autonomous culture and established the business as an independent profit centre. Theo’s strategy also prioritises new business development, applying DENSO technological innovations to increasingly important non-automotive domains. A firm believer in stakeholder management, Theo has harnessed the skills and diversity of his teams to increase market penetration, accelerate product development and strengthen infrastructure for future growth.
Theo has held key roles at DENSO for more than 20 years. Initially responsible for DENSO Europe’s Bus A/C business, his leadership enabled the division to achieve almost 100% share in the world’s largest double decker marketplace, Hong Kong. Theo also helped to establish DENSO’s aftermarket business in Russia: now the Business Unit’s largest sales contributor. Theo also spent an invaluable, two-year assignment at DENSO Corporation’s headquarters in Japan, where he led EU area management and product development for the Corporation’s Business Groups.
Prior to joining DENSO, Theo’s roles included sales management positions at HERAS Fencing & Security Systems in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany; and Netherlands-based marketing & sales roles at IT service provider Hoskyns Group plc. At home, Theo enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and son. He relishes foreign travel and the opportunity to explore other cultures. He is also a keen sportsman, playing tennis and squash, as well as running and skiing.

His pioneering Industrial Products research team also applies DENSO’s R&D capabilities to non-automotive markets - including products that enhance comfort and save energy.
Prior to his current role Thomas joined DENSO as a sales engineer in 1999, inspiring his team of sales and engineering experts to use creativity and innovation to achieve customer satisfaction and business growth. He went on to lead DENSO’s OE Sales Department, liaising with leading car makers Mitsubishi, Volvo and Smart.
